We LOVE this VERY HIGH END exceptional GEM!
At first glance you see lots of GEM original Mint Red. The obverse is about 75% RD while the reverse was laying on something and is 50%. Overall, the surfaces are exceptionally clean. Only when using a strongglass can you see a few tiny toning dots. The Indian and all of the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 143, NGC 103, CAC 68. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell via auction brought $1,200.00 in 06/2023. The current Collectors Universe value is $1,450.00. We think its pretty neat to own a GEM near red coin that is 159 years old. This coin has an Eagle Eye bean too.
