We think only a two TINY (and we mean tiny) hidden ticks (one on each side) are keeping this coin from being an MS67. Can’t say why it is not a +. Overall, the surfaces are satiny and do appear clean overall. A strong unbroken luster beams from both sides. No question the color is an original even gold. There are no discolorations or spots. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and stand out. The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 11, NGC 24, CAC 8. PCGS has graded 7 higher of which only one in MS67 is beaned (we’d LOVE to buy that coin)! These are seldom seen above MS65. We think as time goes on, a great gold coin like this is well worthy of owning. If your building a SUPERB GEM $10 Indian set, this coin is a must!
