This coin is should not exist. We have handled many of the greatest toners ever. In our opinion, this piece has always ranked as one of the all time greats.

We fully agree with the grade (as did CAC).

The colors are monster caliber. Rich and eclectic like shades of violet/iridescent pearl green/gold/crimson and some other colors swirl all over the obverse. Mother Nature created a Mona Lisa here! We have NEVER EVER seen any other 1881-O even remotely close.

If you collector wild toners, this masterpiece belongs in it! This is a one of a kind coin. In hand this coin looks far better than the image.

For those of you who do not know, Sunnywood had one of the most discriminating eyes and knowledge of toners. He came up with many years before Northern Lights and Aurora Borealis made them popular to the masses.
