1880 $3 Gold PCGS MS65+ (CAC) AWESOME!

We LOVE $3 Gold Pieces. They are so rare and are a beautiful obsolete series. This coin is VERY HIGH END. We love it!

Sensational prooflike mirrors are super flashy and almost exceed 4″ deep. Because they are so bold, when using a strong glass you can see a few scattered ticks. Nothing stands out. Of course the luster is tremendous. There are two TINY copper dots located HIDDEN in the crown that you really have to look for. That’s a good thing as it proves the coin is totally original. There is contrast as strong as you’d see on a proof! Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have thick frost. The eye appeal is gorgeous!

Only 1000 were minted. PCGS 23, NGC 15, CAC 6. CAC has only graded 2 higher-MS66’s). PCGS has graded 3 in MS65+. This coin last brought $19,200.00 08/2024 in a weaker sale. In 2022 it bought $23,500.00. The current Collectors Universe value is $27,500.00. Do not be fooled by the pops, this is legit rare coin in GEM. For sure this is not a date or grade that is seen in any frequency!
