1854 $3 Gold PCGS MS65+ (CAC) A BEAUTIFUL COIN!

This coin is a crisp no nonsense HIGH END GEM!

Overall, the surfaces are clean and have a thick satiny texture. Only when using a strong glass can you really can’t detect much at all that diminishes the grade. A strong glowing luster enhances the totally original gold colors. There are some faint toning dots on the reverse that you need to use a glass to see (they are totally original).. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are well struck. The eye appeal is excellent!

PCGS 31, NGC 8, CAC 13. CAC has only beaned 2 higher (in MS66). PCGS has graded only 4 in MS65+. Not a date and especially not a grade (MS 65 and higher) that appears with any frequency. The current Collectors universe value is $25,000.00. We think this coin makes a strong first year Type addition or the start to any GEM $3 set.
