We have handled a few DCameo pieces not as flashy as this one. The quality here is a VERY HIGH END! We saw this coin and instantly knew we loved it and had to own it.
“In your face” deep mirrors nearly blind you with flash. They are borderline for DCam status. The mirrors also are extremely clean and enjoy full clarity (many 96’s come hazy). When you twirl the coin, the mirrors look like a freshly made sheet of glass. The contrast is bold. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp and are covered in thick iridescent frost. The eye appeal is jaw dropping!
Only 762 minted. PCGS 4, NGC 8, CAC 2. There are no auction records for ANY 1896 PCGS PR68 Cameo CAC ever selling. The current Collectors Universe value is only $13,500.00-good luck finding the other at that price. We are working very close on this SUPERB GEM! We don’t see great coins like this much anymore….
