No question this is a HIGH END coin!
Above average surfaces have one or two w/tiny and widely scattered ticks. Overall, using a strong glass there are no disturbances. The surfaces also have a thicker satiny texture. An intense glowing luster beams all over. The color are a gorgeous and totally original yellow gold/thicker gold. There are no spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck and stand out. The eye appeal is terrific!
PCGS 33, NGC 19, CAC 11. CAC has beaned only 2 finer. Do NOT consider this a commoner date-it is not. In MS65, this was the LAST date we needed to complete a remarkable 1900-1908 run. Makes us believe there is a repeat in the pops. A common 1901S that would trade for $3,100.00 has 85 beaned by CAC.
