1852 1/2C Half Cent Braided Hair Restrike, Rev of 1856 PCGS PR64BN (CAC) NICE!
$8,250.00
It is no secret we are “secret copper weenies.” A coin like this makes our hearts melt. Quality-wise, it is all there and then some. We rank it as VERY HIGH END!
Most Proof Half Cents do not come with mirrors like a regular Proof coin. However, this coin does have moderate mirrors. No imagination needed. When you twirl the coin, the mirrors have a faint watery roll on the obverse and look more like glass on the reverse. Both sides are the original GEM even chocolate brown color with tan/pale green/gold/red mixed in. Miss Liberty and the details are needle-sharp in strike. The eye appeal is fabulous!
PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. There are no auction records for this type of 1852. There are no accurate price guides either. Do not a commoner 1852 restrike in PR 64 BN was worth around $7,000.00 in 2021. This variation is far rarer. A 66 BN Rev 1856 brought $19,200.00 in 2022. No matter what, with an est. of LESS than 75 known to exist, this is a fairly priced true rarity!
