NOT TYPICAL TIMES
Typically December is slower. So far, just a handful of days in, and we are swamped. How so? collectors are buying, and we have massive bids for the upcoming Stacks sales (no, we are not bidding on the 1804 $1). Since Dec 1, we have sold at least one $35-$50G coin per day! The sales of coins below $10,000.00 now have picked up. This round of buying is soup to nuts (of the coins we sold, two 1883 Proof Trade Dollars, a 66 Cam, and a 67 Cam ranked as our favorites). Of course, lots of better gold is sold in all price ranges. Too bad we cannot replace any of the coins sold. We are already concerned with finding coins at FUN.
Do not be surprised if in the next Market Report we are crying as to how crazy strong prices in the Stack sales were. The big black hole is HUGE and might rival what’s out there in the solar system! The number of NEW collectors is staggering. That creates a huge problem when there are so few coins available. Stay tuned; prices have to rise!

Why is this coin not CAC?
Legend only sells collectors PCGS CAC and CACG coins. There are reasons why many coins are not CAC. There is no question CAC’d coins trade for more. Any dealer worth their salt will have sent a coin there. Think about it. Most auction houses do the same. CAC has been around since 2007. We’d bet they have seen the majority of important coins and a huge amount of what has been offered to collectors of all coins.
Do NOT give in to temptation. Even if you need a coin badly, do NOT buy it without working with a top dealer who can see why it is not CAC. Or ask the selling dealer to send it to CAC and offer them more if beans. When they make excuses about why they don’t want to send it in, you should not be dealing with them. That is a clear sign of not caring about what they sell you.
You should never put a bad coin in a good collection! Know PCGS CAC pieces trade for more. Pay the prices. When you sell, you’ll be rewarded! You do not need an expensive education.
CACG coins are finding their footing and are rising in popularity too. We’ve bought many CACG graded coins that just blow away all the other services. Starting to think about CACG too—they have a registry.
AN IMPORTANT WORD ABOUT THE OMEGA 232 CENTS
We have just heard the Mint has announced that 2026 1C will be included in Proof sets. Grrr. That makes the sets in the Thursday auction the last cic 1C ever offered.
We do think it lowers the values a bit. Our bet is most people will not have seen that info. We are still working to determine approximations of what the sets will sell for. In our opinion, sky-high prices will still happen; they just won’t be beyond Pluto prices as we expected.
