1807 $2.50 Gold Draped Bust Stars PCGS AU53 (CAC) A SUPERB GEM AU!

Had to step up and buy this wonderful GEM AU piece. We rank it as VERY HIGH END!

To the naked eye the surfaces appear clean. Only when using a strong glass can you see some tiny scattered ticks and dings. Nothing stands out. There is a tiny grease dot on the obverse. Totally original and phenomenal colors of deeper orange gold/greenish gold/soft gold dominate the surfaces. There are no discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details have light wear. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 14, NGC 9, CAC 6. There has not been ANY AU 53’s sold via major auction since 2020. Somehow, the current Collectors Universe value is $28,500.00. This is not a date or grade you will ever see with any frequency. We think this coin will make a great addition to ANY early $2.5 set.
