In our opinion, this date and grade are terribly UNDERvalued. We were thrilled to have been able to buy this VERY HIGH END piece.
Full 8″+ mirrors boom all over. Like any really deeply mirrored coin, there are a few tiny widely scattered ticks. When you twirl the coin, the mirrors have a full watery like roll. Unusual for an 1887, there is strong contrast. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is super!
PCGS 188, NGC 111, CAC 19. Here too, forget about the silly way behind price guides. Load us up with all 19 beaned at these prices! Shocking that CAC only beaned 5 higher.
