Full 8″+ mirrors are above average for what we have seen for 1882O DMPL’s. Because the mirrors are so deep and flashy, you do tend to see the tiny scattered ticks a little more. None stand out or detract from the coin eye appeal. When you twirl the coin, the mirrors do have a watery like roll. There is strong contrast. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have thick thick frost. The eye appeal is fantastic!
PCGS 161, NGC 100, CAC 17. PCGS has graded 14 in MS64+ DMPL. Forget the price guides. The last PCGS CAC example sold back in 2011. A nice 65 DMPL CAC would probaBly be $10,000.00+ if you would even find one. A great coin to add to any DMPL set.
