TIME TO DIGEST
We warned every one the sharp rise in gold won’t last forever. Now gold has proven its not ready to break $2,000.00 again (today). Generic gold has cooled off slightly. Better gold-well good luck finding any. We still advise people to sell off or trade in you generic gold if you are making good money it. It can set you free to seek stronger opportunities.
We are forever gold bugs. We see no way gold will not break $2,000.00 again. But this time the momentum will be softer.
Better gold coins are what should be bought right now. They are in a slight market lull. We are not talking about hoard coins or semi generics, we’re talking about Bust or better Proof gold.
The market overall is still hit or miss. Prices certainly are not at “moon money” for the better coins. It seems coins below $100,000.00 are hot. Coins over that are a buyers market. If you see a great coin and feel it is priced too strong-it probably is not. Don’t think too long either, demand is that strong and the coin probably will sell pretty quick. We expect prices to rise for individual coins, not series at the moment.
For us, this past week was very quiet.
AUCTIONS ARE WHERE THE COINS ARE
Collectors LOVE auctions. We see too many collectors who are “loose cannons” buying in auctions only to have hang overs. Always remember auctions are a competition.
We suggest you use an advisor. The best thing they can tell you is not to bid on a coin. They can guide you price wise as well. And if a coin is not CAC they can tell you what is wrong with the coin. Smart money for the most part uses advisors.
Its a myth that the underbidder will always be there to buy your coin for one increment less. An underbidder could very easily move on to other coins once they lose a lot.
We do NOT charge for representation ONLY in our auctions (that is one heck of a value). We are still accepting reps for the next Simpson sale and every thing else lined up this year. We are always on a first come first serve basis. We have spent several hundred million dollars in auctions and know all the ins and outs. It does make a difference.

The 1891 set maybe the VERY FINEST PR Liberty W/Motto sets that exists. PCGS was brutal on grading this set. This, there are TWO gold stickered coins! The 1866 and 1867 are just MONSTERS. These are the type of items you sell off your generics or stuff and get into. The prices were are asking for each set are NOT exaggerated. These are NOT your marginal dullish coins.
