CASH OR COINS?
We prefer to come home broke as can be but with a ton of coins from the ANA show. That is what happened in the old days. Our biggest fear is this show, we may come home with more cash than coins! That would be a first. And it would be bad for us. We need to have a flow of coins to make money.
Typically we’d be setting up appointments to sell and then buy coins later. So far, we only have selling appointments. Plus, all of the dealers we spoke to are going to the show to buy. In fact, a few we spoke to are being sneaky and jonesing around early to buy before others get “first shots”. Take our word on it, there aren’t even a few widgets around. These new apps created a surge in new buyers and have helped move a lot of “stuff” off the market. Better coins are starting to flow into the deepest “black hole” we have ever seen at prices that are way ahead of anything published. As of this writing our feelings are that we will come home with far more cash than coins.
For sure, better coins are in super strong hands too. Plus, there is a ton of money out there looking to buy things like hard assets. We reached out to so many of our customers recently who all said they just do not need to sell. Typically we get something, this time just a trickle. We have warned everyone too that the time is now to sell, not after the ANA when the huge auctions kick in. September has never been a good month to sell.
Final request: if you have coins to sell at ANA we MUST have them in our office by Wednesday-NO exceptions. And if you see coins on our web site you are thinking about, pull the trigger now. We doubt they will be around after or even during the show. That is not hype-it’s fact based upon how shows have been for us this year. When we land we have 4 MAJOR appointments with major buyers.

GOLD
Have not given up on it one bit. We just are not being offered the generics we like. $4,000.00+ MS 65 Saints look like they might be here to stay.
We see a lot of big money seeking still to buy bullion/generics. Usually big money is smart money. So we are bullish. We’d be shocked if we do not sell 75% of the gold we have in our inventory at the show. replacing the coins-impossible today (we hope we are wrong).
