THIS MARKET IS MOVING!
Even with 2 upcoming auctions (us and Heritage) and being on the heels of a blockbuster huge FUN Sale, the coin market has not stopped to take a breath. Rain, sleet, not even Covid has stopped this market!
Our sales were HUGE again his past week. We even did a matter of fact silent deal for a coin worth over $1 million dollars (last week we did a sale for coin worth several million)! We finally had a handful of coins below $5,000.00. They sold within MINUTES of being offered. Of course we can’t replace them. Dealers are crawling all over themselves seeking coins as well. It is our strong opinion, that if a major show were to be held today. it would end up a disaster because there would be no coins available.
We do believe that the upcoming auctions will be strong again. Right now, they are one of the few places that offer a wide selection of coins. And if you collect better coins, they are pretty much the only game in town. Good luck!
Sorry if we sound like a broken record on all this. We state the facts based upon what we experience.
Final call for auction representation for the upcoming Heritage sale next week. All reps are done on a first come first serve basis. Sometimes, the best deal you do is the one you don’t!
COINS ARE COMING!
We are currently in talks with a few big collectors for our upcoming auctions and our sources are starting to pay more so we can buy a coin or two.
Collectors clearly see that in non widget areas prices have been moving up. We are now way past the lows of 2015. Some coins are even achieving record prices.
When buying it is critical to know the majority of published prices are WRONG. Many prices are published based on auction sales and only a few private treaty sales. You either have to be working with a dealer you trust, follow the auctions or figure out a recent pattern of pricing increases (good luck on that). In order to buy, you absolutely will have to step up and strong premiums today. You are not the only buyer out there. Securing the coin-especially with a low pop coin, we would expect you to reap serious returns in the long run.
As more prices increase, you will start seeing more coins appearing for sale. Today, save for the auctions, it is just a trickle of coins appearing. Give it time, more coins are coming!

One last issue: even though prices are moving up, do NOT expect to be able to sell coins you recently bough for a profit. It takes time to make money-usually 2-3 years minimum.
