We had a surprising spur of strong sales this week, which is atypical before a major show and upcoming auction. Coins ranging from $850.00 to $55,000.00 were on collector’s radar. This activity was totally unexpected. Typically, with an ANA show and two major auctions, activity slows to a crawl unless we are filling Want Lists. Plus, it’s the end of July—a time not known for being a sales magnet. What does this mean? We have no clue. We believe the upcoming activity may have reinvigorated people.
This ANA show makes us nervous. We are uncertain about how the ANA event will unfold. It’s difficult to tell anymore if the public will be in attendance. With the internet, collectors who have limited time or don’t want the hassle of travel can just sit home and buy coins with a click. The question then arises: what is the minimum quantity required by dealers? As a result, we have several MAJOR wholesale appointments on Sunday and Monday, before the ANA setup. Our “super secret seller” starts on Saturday and has a crazy schedule with dealers to see through the entire show.
For those attending the show, we have a major display at our table. These are from collections Legend exclusively built. Both Black Cat and RSD are must-see pieces, and they are not for sale. Black Cat also has a tremendous pattern display over at the ANA Museum as well.

NEWPS
Look at the great NEWPS we now have posted. There are some great coins!
By far, our favorite coin is the J-1377 Bickford $10 PCGS PR63 CAC Struck in NICKEL! Currently, there are only 2–3 known. In gold, a Bickford would be worth over $750,000.00, even in PR63. Why is the nickel version so cheap when it is just as rare? Once this coin is sold, good luck finding another!
