We never get tired of buying superb “old friends” like this back! For sure, this is one of the prettier and nicer AU Bust Dollars we have EVER seen. It is closer to MS61 than AU58!
Impeccable surfaces are smooth and look semi satiny. Even using a strong glass there are NO problems to be found. A very decent luster illuminates an original light deep champagne/pale olive/pewter colors that are evenly spread all over. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally well struck. The wear is light and even. There are no real dark patches on the high points either. The eye appeal is very pretty!
PCGS 46, NGC 8, CAC 5. This coin has been away with a Legend customer for a few years. We once owned this piece at $60,000.00 in 2014. This coin looks far better then several MS61+62’s we have seen. Published prices for coins like this are totally inaccurate. These do NOT trade any more. Plus, this coin really has NO peers!
