$1 1795 PCGS AU58 DRAPED BUST

This is an OFF Centered Bust though the holder attributed as a Center Bust. WOW! This old friend of ours has amazing ORIGINALITY and quality. We always buy Early Bust Type when we can call it it GEM AU!

Hard to believe that this 216 year old coin has no major impairments. Even using a strong glass you will find no serious marks or lines. The surfaces actually offer hints of semi-prooflike mirrors as well as offering some luster. Both sides are evenly covered by a rich but vibrant mix of purple/reddish gold/blue/pale tangerine colors. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. You do NOT need a glass to see the feathers on the eagles breast. There are no discolorations on the high points as the wear is very light. The eye appeal is tremendous!

PCGS 10, NGC 3, CAC 2. The Hesselgesser coin (a NON CAC) was sold in June for $35,650.00. Prior to that an NGC coin sold in 2008 for $32,200.00. This coin has been off the market since then. It is housed in an older green tag PCGS holder. Also, it is an old friend of ours we are only too happy to handle again!
