$1 1803 LARGE 3 PCGS AU58

In the old days (when coins were raw), this coin was probably called a choice BU. To the naked eye, it has NO visible wear. We certainly call it a SUPERB GEM AU! When you see it, you’ll be forever in love with it. Ultra clean and smooth surfaces exhibit NO problems or any size, any where. Even using a strong glass you will only be more impressed with what you do NOT see. A surprising full booming luster greatly enhances totally original colors of moderate pale navy/deep pewter/pale gold/deep champagne colors that swirl all over. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and do have light frost. The eye appeal is not only sensational, but this coin looks better than a few MS61’s we have ever seen! PCGS 3, NGC 4, CAC 2. PCGS has graded only a possible 8 coins higher. We cannot stress the extreme rarity and even more extreme HIGH END quality of this coin. NO PCGS CAC piece has ever sold at auction. In fact, the last auction record for ANY AU 58 LG Date selling was back in 2010! This coin last sold for $25,300.00 in a Heritage sale 04/2009 (that is 8 years ago now-which does make this coin fresh again). Once this coin is sold, good luck find anything remotely similar!
