The extreme rarity of this date in MS63 and higher can never be overstated. They pretty much do not exist!
Amazingly, this coin has deep 4′ mirrors that are clear and clean overall. Using a glass you will find some tiny scattered ticks on the reverse (but this is a MS64, not a 65). A gorgeous mix of pale tangerine/violet/golden brown colors evenly cover all of the surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have extra sharp strikes. The eye appeal is mind boggling for a MS64!
PCGS 2, NGC 5, CAC 4. PCGS has graded two higher. There are no accurate price references for this date and grade. We have sold several other pop 2’s in the same price range. If either of the MS65’s were for sale, they cost easily OVER $100,000.00.
