$1 1843 PCGS MS63

What a coin! This is no question a SUPER HIGH END piece (its still in its older holder).

To the naked eye you don’t see much due to the toning. When using a strong glass you can see some scattered light ticks and lines. Nothing is serious or dug in. A strong luster glows from all over. Both sides are evenly covered by wonderful deeper original toning. The obverse has shades of evergreen/rose/pale blue. The reverse has navy/purple colors. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and stand out. The eye appeal is refreshing!

PCGS 18, NGC 7, CAC 11 (obviously there was a resub many times). The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought only $6,600 in August 2018. We placed this coin with Issaquah for $9,500 back in 2009! We think this coin is worth much more.

Legend did buy this coin out of the Issaquah sale for $6,750.00.  We stand by the comment of we KNOW it sold too cheap. When it is sold, good luck finding another!
