$1 1860 PCGS PR 64

Now here is something we have not offered since early 2014-a choice 1860 Proof Dollar. Strong mirrors beam from all over. they have good clarity, cleanliness, and bold reflectivity. Only a few stray lines can be seen with a strong glass. The mirrors resemble a freshly formed sheet of ice. This coin has never been messed with and has developed some very pretty colors. Peripheral rings of blue/gold open into silvery gold centers all over. The colors are totally original. Miss Liberty and the details are moderately frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is excellent! Only 1000 were minted-but most were melted due to slow sales. PCGS 43, NGC 44, CAC 10. The last PCGS CAC piece to appear and sell in auction was back in 04/2013! That piece bought $6,462.00. Think about it, its been 3 long years since any have been in auction. We can’t say we’ve seem them at shows either (if they were nice, we’d buy them for sure)!
