$1 1865 PCGS PR64+

SUPER HIGH END! We admit to trying it for a PR65. PCGS was ever so tough (NOTE: we make NO promises it will ever PR 65).In addition to great technical qualities, this coin has KILLER colors! Deep mirrors really beam extensively from all over. The mirrors have great clarity, cleanliness, and of course offer a stunning reflection. We’re not so sure about what PCGS sees to keep it as a 64+. Even using a strong glass the coin is devoid of lines or problems. You don’t even have to twirl the coin to see how high wattage and flashy the mirrors are. The obverse is bathed in a heart pounding mix of totally original shades of iridescent navy/pearl green/violet/amber/gold colors. The reverse looks like it had been laying on felt with colors of royal blue/pale purple/tangerine swirling around. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have crisp full strikes. We do consider this coin to be a borderline Cameo. The eye appeal of this coin is just stunning! ONLY 500 minted. PCGS 31, NGC 40, CAC 4. PCGS has graded 2 coins PR64+. Neither has appeared in auction. The coin offered here is totally fresh to the market. If you seek a real QUALITY piece that has AWESOME color-this is it!
