$1 1874-S PCGS MS64

One thing Legend knows better then any dealer alive-it MS Trade Dollars. Having built the all time finest ever set for the ultra picky Bruce Morelan, not only do we know what every date looks like,  but how virtually the pieces slabbed look.  For example, this date comes so undesirable, we PASSED recently on buying the MS65+! For a MS64, this piece is wonderful and is stone bold original! Very pleasing surfaces highlight the coin. There are just a few small and widely scattered scuffs. Overall, the surfaces appear clean and smooth. A surprising luster for a 74S actually glows all over. Both sides are evenly covered by a light mix of totally original pewter/faint olive color. This coin is NOT dull. We do grade the reverse full MS64+. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are well struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is excellent! PCGS 27, NGC 18, CAC 7. The last one to sell in auction brought only $3,290.00 01/2017-in what was known to be a weak auction. We think the values are too low and do not respect the real rarity of a true choice coin.
