$1 1877-S PCGS MS65+

This is one heck of an MS Trade Dollar. We could not agree more on calling it an MS65+.

To start, this coin has remarkable bold semi prooflike surfaces. You do NOT have to imagine them. There is not much at all for the flash to bring out-just  small obverse scuff and a small reeding mark on the reverse. The surfaces do appear sleek and clean over all. If you insist your coins have luster-this coin is a total luster bomb! BOOM from all over! Both sides are a gorgeous silvery white. There is slight contrast. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and are heavily frosted. The eye appeal is phenomenal!

PCGS 31, NGC 27, CAC 15. PCGS has graded 8 in MS65+. CAC has beaned only ONE coin finer. We paid $11,612.00 08/2020 out of our auction (this was also the last one to sell via auction). This is a coin we have owned a few times and just LOVE!  The only other MS65+ CAC to sell in auction has heavy dappled toning. It brought $9,000.00 08/2018. We could not resist this coin. We know just about every GEM Trade Dollar that exists. We assure you, there are NO other 77-S that come close to looking like this-let alone any other date! And good luck finding anything higher with a bean.

Opportunity knocks so loud here it is deafening! Prooflike MS Trade Dollars like this are EXTREMELY RARE!
