No question this stone bold GEM is a 64.8++! Event he harshest DMPL buyer will agree.
Deep 8″ + mirrors beam like a headlight. The mirrors are NOT hazy and do have great clarity. Like a Proof, if you twirl the coin, the mirrors have a deep “liquid” roll. There are just a few tiny scattered ticks visible-NONE are detracting. We grade the reverse a full MS65 DMPL. The contrast is also bold (unusual for this date). Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike and are loaded with thick frost. The eye appeal is awesome!
PCGS 100, NGC 122, CAC 6. There are only 4 graded 64+ DMPL, with 18 finer. This coin was sold for $5,288.00 in our 01/2018 auction. Do NOT let the pops spook you. The majority of the coins graded are inferior to this coin. This coin is far closer to an MS65 designation then a 64!
