This coin is both VERY HIGH END and close to D Cameo. It is really something way above and beyond what you typically see!
Remarkable deep mirrors beam intensely from all over. The mirrors offer extreme clarity and are super clean. Only when using a strong glass can you see a few light lines. When you twirl this coin, the mirrors have that delightful “watery” roll. A faint and original shade of gold can be seen-however it is NOT dull or dusky. The contrast is powerful. Miss Liberty and every detail are fully struck and have creamy white thick frosting. The eye appeal is VERY dramatic!
Only 900 Proofs were struck. PCGS 5, NGC 24, CAC 7. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $8,250. We are firm in our belief that this coin is valued too cheap. We never see PR 65 Cameo TD’s that come even close to looking like this, let alone to find an 1878! We’ll work hard with you to buy this coin-in today’s market it is an extremely good value.
