$1 1880-S PCGS MS68+

Item# 53888

This  is one of the best Morgans you will EVER see! It’s hard to imagine how it survived for 136 years in this lofty state of preservation. We fully agree this coin grades MS68+!

Flawless surfaces are silky smooth. Even using a strong glass and searching all day will yield you no negatives. A strong velvety luster beams all over. A beautiful ring of auburn/blue frames the rims and Miss Liberty and the details enjoy thick frosting and full strikes. Her cheek could not be anymore cleaner or satiny. The eye appeal is phenomenal!

PCGS 212, NGC 305, CAC 153. PCGS has graded 28 in MS68+. Prior to this coin selling in our auction for $14,688.00 12/2016, the last one to sell in auction brought $21,150 May 2016. Do not think a pop of 28 is a lot (we doubt if even half are CAC).  Virtually flawless Morgans are impossible to find! This coin will be a star in any Morgan or Type set!
