At the FUN Show auctions PR TD’s went nuts. The published bids are unrealistic-but so are the prices many dealers think they can get for these. We were happy to buy one reasonably.
The quality is clearly high end. Ultra clean and strongly reflective mirrors are two of this coins many highlights. A beautiful mix of champagne/golden brown/purple/violet colors swirls evenly on both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are very well struck. The eye appeal is very strong. We do rank this coin in the top 5% for the grade. We just can’t see why PCGS did not grade it a PR64. PCGS 131, NGC 89.
