Forget 8″ or even 10″ reflection, this coin kicks it out almost a foot! The mirrors have incredible clarity. Marks of any size are almost non existent. You really do need a pair of Ray Bans when you view this coin so as not to be blinded by the reflection. The contrast is incredible. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted like a buttercream cake and are fully struck. The eye appeal is mind-boggling!
THIS IS THE WAY AN 1881-S DMPL should be in top GEM condition.
PCGS 85, NGC 91, CAC 15. PCGS has graded 8 in MS66+ DMPL. We’d challenge this coin vs ANY of them. NO PCGS CAC piece has ever been auctioned. Of course, there are NO applicable published price guides for this coin. If it were in auction, it would unquestionably set a world record price. A PCGS CAC MS67 DMPL looking like this would easily bring $15,000.00 (key words-looking like this). We want to place this coin with a Legend customer so it has a great home and hopefully one day we can get it back.
