We were shocked that this was the last 1883CC we handled. We place it with a collector in 2015. No question this coin is more then deserving of its lofty designation!
Exceptional surfaces are sleek and are super clean. There are slight traces of semi-prooflike mirrors visible when you tilt the coin. The coin does have a full radiant luster that beams boldly from all over. Both sides are a crisp white with faint highlights of gold. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are fully struck. The eye appeal is fantastic!
PCGS 226, NGC 173, CAC 88. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction bought $5,040.00 02/2019. All of the sudden over the past year or two these also have fallen into the “black hole”. For us not to have owned one since 2015-that is a strong statement as to the coins rarity.
