We have not seen mirrors like these on any coin from the 1890’s in a very long time-maybe even years!
Full 10 inch mirrors explode from all over. Like you see a on a Proof coin, the mirrors have that strong “watery” roll when you twirl the coin. Marks are held to a minimum. There is only an ever so slight hint of milkiness (Note: Legend does NOT buy milky coins). The contrast is really strong. The only negative on this coin-there is a small cut on Miss Liberty’s face. Everything else about this coin is fabulous! All of the details are sharply struck and actually display frost. We love especially twirling the reverse. The eye appeal is incredibly flashy!
PCGS 90, NGC 45, CAC 12. PCGS has graded only 5 in MS64+ DMPL. These have become too cheap because of so many weaker coins in holders. Finding a boldly mirrored coin like this is really rare. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $1,553.00 back in 09/2011. Eight plus years ago! You can be assured all the really nice PCGS CAC examples are in strong hands! Opportunity knocks loud here!
