$1 1925S PCGS MS65

We have been students of this date forever. We unhesitatingly state this is the second BEST 1925S $1 we have ever seen (the best was a GEM frosty white coin long ago placed in a collection).

Technically, we grade this coin a MS65.7+. Superior surfaces are incredibly clean and smooth. typical for the date, the luster is more on the moderate side. A light “skin” of totally original off white/pale pewter/pale reddish gold is spread around (the coin looks creamy white). Most important, Miss Liberty and the details are above average in strike. This is NOT a flat S Mint (the collector who owned it was a strike wonk). The eye appeal is super!

PCGS 42, NGC 64, CAC 7. PCGS has graded NONE higher. The most recent auction price for a GEM 25S is $30,550.00 08/2015. We bought his coin from a private collector back in early 2013 and it has resided in another collection since. Unless you are seeking a blazing frosty white coin, you will NOT be disappointed!
