$10 1795 PCGS AU55 BD-1 13 LEAVES

Unbelievable! This coin is a clear AU55++. From what we know it resided in a major London dealer’s house for 30+ years (along with several other MONSTER early gold pieces). When compared to coins from a collection recently sold, this coin blows those pieces out of the water!

Both sides have a remarkable totally ORIGINAL “skin”. In fact, we showed this piece off to a few dealers “in the know” about early gold-and they agreed its one of the freshest most original pieces they have seen in ages. Had we offered it for sale to them, we’re sure it wouldn’t be available today! There are NO hidden areas of grease or materials the coin docs love to use. Abrasions and lines are so minimal you need a strong glass to them. The luster is surprisingly strong. A natural light layer of toning evenly covers both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. You do NOT need a glass to see all of the Eagles feathers! The eye appeal is tremendous!

PCGS 36, NGC 12, CAC 3. You can throw out the current published prices on a coin like this. NOTE: There are plenty of scrubbed up examples that sell for a lot less floating around the market today. This coin is a zillion times better than any of those. This coin first appeared on the market in 2008 and we held it until 2012 when we had placed it. It has been with the same collector ever since. Opportunity knocks so loud here it is deafening!
