This is a duplicate from the Simpson/Hall Collection (the former and soon to be new #1 set on the PCGS Registry). We can see why David Hall chose this coin to begin with.
Not hacked up, this coin does have some tiny light and scattered ticks. The wear is very minimal. There are NO spots. The surfaces are a bright yellow gold. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally well struck. You can see the base of the 2 (in the date) without a glass. The eye appeal of this piece is great!
PCGS 10, NGC 41, CAC 1. The last one of these to appear in a major auction sold for for $5,175.00 (a NON CAC coin) 04/2009 Heritage. There are not many pedigrees better than this (Simpson/Hall is on the holder)!
