$10 1872-S PCGS AU53

This is a VERY HIGH END and SUPERB GEM AU piece. We admit, we resubmitted for an AU 55. Not sure what  the difference is. Absolutely remarkable surfaces are exceedingly clean and smooth. Even using a strong glass all you can find are few tiny old ticks scattered around. There actually is a slight glowing luster. We find it remarkable for a date that usually comes poor in quality that this piece even exists. Both sides are a GEM original orange gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. Nor is this coin”dirty”.  Plus, there is NO question this coin was never messed with. Miss Liberty and the details have light even wear. The eye appeal really is fabulous! PCGS 14, NGC 16, CAC 1. CAC has only beaned 2 other 72S’s-both AU58 (which we have never seen). Do not be fooled by the pops, this date in AU50 and above-RARE! We also strongly feel the price guides are inaccurate too because of so few ever trading. If you collect better gold or $10 Lib’s , this is a coin that represents one heck of any opportunity.
