$10 1903-O PCGS MS64

$5,875.00

What a great example of a grossly UNDER rated date and grade. No question it is rock solid for the grade. The surfaces are clearly above average. Just a few very light and trivial frost breaks/ticks can be seen only with a strong glass. Nothing stands out. The surfaces also have a thick satiny texture. A surprising strong luster beams from all over. Both sides are a charming original deep gold with faint greenish gold highlights. This is NOT a dull or drab coin.No question it was never messed with. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and are fully struck. The eye appeal is great! PCGS 23, NGC 7, CAC 7. It is critical to note the ONLY coin PCGS has graded higher is a MS65+ which is beaned too. If that coin ever came out (we are sure its in a major collection) it would easily be worth well in excess of $25,000.00. An NGC MS64 CAC sold for $13,000.00 03/2018. The Collectors Universe price guide is only $5,750.00. With only one MS65 and 23 in MS64, we’re sure a couple were tried and tried for an MS65. At under $10,000.00 we think this coin in this grade is still too cheap. If you are building any kind of a $10 set, this is a great coin to add to your set!
