We have handled 2 MS65’s. We can attest to the fact this coin is VERY HIGH END and is closer to MS65 then a moderate to low end MS 64!
Sensational surfaces appear clean and smooth. Only using a strong glass and looking around hard can you detect a tiny scuffs/ticks. A thick satiny type luster beams from all over. It does enliven the even mix of deeper gold and pale greenish gold colors that are totally original. This is not toned/dirty, nor has the coin ever been messed with. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have delicate frost. There is a very tiny hidden stain under the eagles beak (just an FYI). The eye appeal is absolutely wonderful!
PCGS 16, NGC 7, CAC 5. This is a fresh coin to the market. in fact from what we understand, it came from Europe. Before this coin surfaces, a NON CAC piece sold for $7,050.00 in 2014-that was the last one to sell. In MS64+ an NGC coin (pop 1) brought $13,200.00 04/2018. This is a VERY UNDERrated date and grade. We have seen more MS65’s (which are very rare) vs MS64’s. Opportunity knocks loud here!
