$10 1905 PCGS MS67 SIMPSON/HALL/CORONET

$62,500.00

This is a freshly acquired trade coin. We LOVE this incredible GEM and can never own it enough. However, we can not keep everything. Time to place it in a great home.

Here is the description from the Coronet sale.

This coin was a “no brainer” for the Coronet Collection! If you notice it is from what was the former #1 set of $10 Liberties-Simpson/Hall. You can look for many years and still not find for the Type of this grand quality and eye appeal.

Only a tiny discoloration dot on the trunk of the neck keeps this remarkable SUPERB GEM from an MS67+ designation. The overall surface quality is immaculate and there is a smooth yet satiny texture. Using a strong glass yields NOTHING of any size. A full booming luster glows. Both sides are a gorgeous totally original pale orange/subtle gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have delicate frosting. The eye appeal is tremendous!

PCGS 4, NGC 7, CAC 5. There has not been one sold at auction since 2012. Back then this was a $55,000 coin. Today, with its extreme rarity in this grade, we think these have easily gone up in value beyond any old published numbers. We fully disagree with the Current Collectors Universe Value of only $45,000. Good luck, we’ll buy every one at that price. We are estimating this coin at what we figure the high WHOLESALE value is today (if there is such a thing). This coin will be a more than worthy addition to any GEM Type, box of 20, or $10 Liberty set!

This coin realized $58,750.00 in the Coronet sale 10/2019. We assure you, even in the commonest dates (01S), NONE of these are around or are for sale.
