We have handled the VERY best 1909’s and can tell you, it is a myth these come nice. This coin is really a light mark from being a FULL GEM MS65 piece.
Superior surfaces are satiny smooth and have only a few TINY and widely scattered ticks-most you need a glass to see. Overall you can call the coin clean. A bold luster can be seen from across the room. Both sides are a GEM original frosty gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. Clearly this coin has never be messed with. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and stand out. The eye appeal is great!
PCGS 99, NGC 50, CAC 25. It should be noted, CAC has only beaned 7 higher-total. The last CAC piece to sell in auction was NGC graded and it brought $8,812.00 back in 09/2013. We sold a PCGS CAC MS64 for $9,400.00 two years ago. The PCGS MS65 CAC Crow River coin sold for $16,450.00 in our October Sale. If your building a choice to GEM $10 Indian set, this is a coin you can proudly place in it!
