Superb surfaces are exceedingly clean and satiny smooth. Even if you use a strong glass, you will not be disappointed. For an 1852 the luster is good. This coin unquestionably has never been dipped or messed with. A moderate mix of pale golden brown/champagne/lilac colors swirls all over. Miss Liberty and the details are gently frosted and have crisp full strikes. The eye appeal is fantastic!
PCGS 4, NGC 6, CAC 3. PCGS has graded 4 higher (hard to believe). The market sure has beaten up real rarities like these pretty good; The last one to sell in a major auction brought $4,113.00 06/2014. You’d think these would be worth an easy $4,500.00 as they do not appear with ANY frequency. Opportunity knocks loud here!
