10C 1862 PCGS PR66 CAC

$3,500.00

Besides being SUPER HIGH END, this coin is a near miss Cameo! We really do not see why PCGS did not designate it as such. Intensely deep mirrors flash vividly from all over. The mirrors have great clarity, cleanliness, and reflection. The only lines we see (even using a strong glass) are on the holder! A bold band of gorgeous and totally original royal blue/violet/lime/gold frames the peripheries of the obverse. The reverse is more gold/deep champagne/blue colors (it probably sat on felt). Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is absolutely gorgeous!! ONLY 550 were minted. PCGS 3, NGC 8, CAC 3. PCSG or NGC have graded NONE higher in NON Cameo. Here is an astonishing fact: NO PROOF 1862 10C in 65 or higher has EVER been sold in auction (there are PR Cameo’s that have sold). We cannot stress enough how rare and UNDER-valued this date is even today. Civil War coins are some of the most popular collected. We know this coin will be a prize to ANY Diem or Type set it finds a new home in. WE HAVE POSTED THIS COIN AT OUR BEST PRICE
