1800 $5 Gold Draped Bust Large Eagle PCGS MS63 (CAC)

What a cool coin. Hard to imagine how it has survived in such a wonderful state of MS for 225 years. No question this coin is HIGH END! This coin was a “no brainer” for us to buy.

There actually appears to be a little cameo contrast. Both sides have a few teenie ticks scattered about-but nothing big that detracts. Keep in mind, this is only an MS63 and that is more than allowed. The luster is intense and there are actually slight traces of semi-prooflike mirrors. There are NO discolorations or spots. Miss Liberty and the details are heavily frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is terrific!

Take our word on this, when it comes to Early Gold, CAC does NOT just sticker any coin. They are extremely strict as this area is their specialty.

PCGS 15, NGC 17, CAC 7. Last year we bought a PCGS CAC example from a small PA auction and paid $59,800.00. The last PCGS CAC example to sell via a regular auction brought $58,750.00 01/2022. With possibly only 7 beaned by CAC, these are not common at all.
