Not an easy date to find at all. We checked, the last one we had was a AU55 back in 2022. We rank this coin as HIGH END!
Overall, the surfaces are clean and smooth. Only when using a strong glass can you see a hint of a few tiny old scrapes and ticks scattered around. There is a slight luster all over. We do consider this coin to have an original “skin”. Both sides are a stone cold original deeper gold color. There are no discolorations on the highpoints. Miss Liberty and the details reveal only light even wear. The eye appeal is excellent!
PCGS 14, NGC 15, CAC 5. There has not been any PCGS CAC pieces sold at auction since 2019. That is forever ago (in AU 55 PCGS CAC its even longer). The current Collectors universe needs some updating too: it shows a value of only $13,000.00. UGH HUH. Do your homework, this date in ANY grade of AU is tremendous UNDERrated.
