1823 50C Half Dollar Capped Bust, Let Edge PCGS MS64 (CAC) ELIASBERG OFF THE MARKET SINCE THE SALE!

$5,250.00

This is an O-112. We purchased this coin directly out of the Eliasberg sale and sold it to a collector who has owned it ever since. You bet this coin is SUPER HIGH END! Plus, it has never been regraded and is still in its original holder. We have no desire to max this coin out as we are believers that this coin is true piece of numismatic history.

Immaculate surfaces are the ultimate to view. Using a strong glass will only further impress you as there are no imperfections anywhere. Traces of vivid prooflike mirrors beam from the peripheries only on the obverse and most of the reverse. The luster is light. Both sides are evenly covered by deep and totally original shades of olive/gold/blue/deep champagne colors. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 56, NGC 28, CAC 14. The quality and history of this coin beats most of the other 1823’s that have been sold in MS64 since 1997 (The Eliasberg Sale). Some how, there is a collectors Universe value of $6,750.00 for the date and grade. Coins like this do not exist any more. This is a true treasure that hope the new owner cherishes as much as the original collector did!
