This was one of our favorite purchases from the ANA Show (besides the 1C 1910). We have handled many GEM Busties over the years including MS68’s. This coin just stopped us in our tracks while going through a dealers box. Not only is it gorgeous, it clearly is SUPER HIGHEND. Yes, indeed, we LOVE this coin!
You get a strong glass and look this coin over. The surfaces border on total perfection. We could not find any negatives. A strong luster illuminates marvelous colors all over. Totally original beautiful colors of pale green/golden brown/blue swirl all over. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and boldly stand out. The eye appeal is PHENOMENAL!
PCGS 68, NGC 29, CAC 19. PCGS has graded 7 in MS65+. Do NOT be fooled by the pops. You can search higher or lower grades and not find anything similar to this GEM on the market today. In 09/2022 a PCGS CAC MS65+ sold for $14,100.00. The current Collectors Universe value is $16,000.00. CAC has only beaned 3 in MS66 w/none higher. This is a coin you want in your collection!
We can not find much at all right now in nice Bust Halves. This is one area that was seriously lacking in the ANA sales.
