1842 $5 Gold Liberty No Motto Sm Letters PCGS MS61 (CAC) NICE!

One of the finest survivors for the date. No question this coin is VERY HIGH END!

No question this coin is a true MS. The surfaces are remarkably clean. Even when using a strong glass, all that could be found are the tiniest of scattered ticks and a few light lines. A surprising strong luster beams all over. Both sides are a deeper gold color. There are no spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 1, NGC 2, CAC 1. CAC has graded only one coin finer-an MS 65 (worth close to $100,000.00) and PCGS has graded 1 in MS62, and one in MS66! Unquestionably, this is a very rare date in MS. The current Collectors Universe value is $30,000.00. There are no auction records for this coin. For sure your not going to find the 65 CAC and this is the FINEST CAC piece available.
