1849-D $1 Gold Dollar Type 1 PCGS AU58 (CAC) GEM AU!

This coin had been off the market for a long time. It last appeared in 1976 (envelope included). The coin absolutely is SUPER HIGH END. PCGS showed it no mercy!

Light semi-prooflike mirrors highlight the surfaces. We found no problems anywhere. There is an original “skin” visible over the mirrors. This coin has never been messed with in any way. There is a strong luster. Both sides area GEM original deeper gold/pale greenish gold color. There are no spots or discolorations. It is really hard to find the wear. All of the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 51, NGC 95, CAC 9. We could not find any auction records for a PCGS CAC piece selling since 2010! Do NOT let the pops fool you. In the end, there are only 9 beaned. The price guides are playing catch up on great coins like this. A wonderful coin to add to any D Mint set!
