1852 $2.50 Gold Liberty PCGS MS65+ (CAC)
$7,250.00
Such a wicked cool GEM! This is by far one of the nicer early $2.5 Liberty’s we’ve seen.
Superior surfaces are remarkably clean and smooth. The surfaces are super satiny. A strong luster can be seen beaming from all over. Both sides enjoy a beautiful original yellow gold/pale orange gold color with pale greeish gold by the rims. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty an dare sharply struck. The eye appeal is really great!
PCGS 13, NGC 7, CAC 10 (def repeats). There are ONLY 2 in MS65+ graded by PCGS or NGC. PCGS has graded 4 coins higher-none of which are beaned so far. The last time this coin sold was in 008/2019. It realized $6,000.00. We love the idea of buying a 169 year old GEM obsolete gold coins for under $10,000.00. Seem like a good value to us. The pickiest buyer WILL love this GEM!
