1852 $5 Gold Liberty No Motto PCGS MS 63 (CAC) CHOICE! HANSEN

$6,500.00

A HIGH END and very interesting coin. frankly, we think PCGS was too harsh here (NO promises)

We have never seen any mid date $5 with a major die crack. The crack is on the obverse and runs through the stars on the left (&;00-10:00). It does not stand out or detract. Overall, the surfaces are amazingly clean and smooth. A really strong luster illuminates the coin all over. Both sides are a GEM original gold/pale orange gold with faint greenish gold highlights. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck, The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 21, NGC 13, CAC 5. CAC possibly has graded just 4 finer. The last PCGS CAC example to sell via auction brought $7,200.00 10/2022. The current Collectors Universe value is $7,000.00. If you seek a GEM MS 63 earlier $5 Liberty, this is the coin you want!
